Main Advantage of Being a Goalkeeper - create your own look!!

After the passing of London fashion week, it got me reminiscing about a history of strong goalkeeping looks that have graced my eyes. After further research I was delighted to stumble across the new France Jersey, that Hugo Lloris will no doubt be pulling all the high class Paris birds with! Check out this number...

It must be said that the French have had a history of elegance when it came to their attire. Fabien Barthez was the first man to bring the French preference for shades over colours, breaking the Manchester United trend of greens and purples that Peter Schmeichel had represented for so many years.

David Seaman had a big say in his Euro 96 goalkeeping kits. Love them or hate them you have to admire Mr Safe Hand's boldness and confidence to come up with these exceptional looks:

David James has always been one to try and grab the attention, and many would argue that it earned him the England no.1 jersey.

But what is the point in this post? The point is to establish who has the strongest look in the Prem. There is no doubting that the influence that an individual will have on his shirt design has decreased over recent  years due to Prem teams opting to have a 'squad of three', rather than a out and out number 1. Competition for the shirt is fierce therefore it would be foolish to allow such an influence. The only keepers I could suggest may have this right would be Reina, Cech, Foster, Jaskelianen?? That is open to debate.
The strongest looks in the prem I consider to be the following:

Runner Up: Joe Hart - Man city have opted for the classic green, with a second choice of classic black. No frills here, very simple and very effective. I am not convinced that Joe has any influence in the design, and instead opt for the fact that Umbro have just massively stepped their game up as the new England attire is also very decent! (Maybe Umbro have decided to concentrate a little bit less on their Sports Direct polo shirts - shirts that I associate with "commoners").

Winner: Pepe Reina - Pepe had this misfortune of joining Liverpool during the middle of a two year kit cycle, meaning that unfortunately for him he had to deal with Chris Kirland/Jerzy Dudek's mustard hand-me-down's! Since this cycle ended, and Liverpool's transition to an Adidas look - Pepe has flourished! Almost every single one of Pepe's kits has been outstanding, whether it be royal blue, a simple black/red or even a classic green - it has been incredibly impressive!

That is all I have really, I will leave you on my personal favourite kit, a kit that epitomises my very own catchphrase of "strong look"! Enjoy....

Just had to bring this up..... The Foster Final!

That is all....
